Are you now or have you ever been a congressional lobyist?

The answer prior to Tuesday, May 8 was no. However, after a Friday through Monday conference held by my broker/dealer, Linsco/Private Ledger (LPL), in Washington D.C., I spent Tuesday lobbying Congress. To sum it up, I would say that the experience was enlightening.
Let's begin by defining what is a broker/dealer? A broker/dealer is a term used in the United States financial services regulations. It is a natural person, a company or other organization that trades securities for its own account, or on behalf of its customers.
